The Hospice

Our Services

Angel Wings Hospice Inpatient Center, is a 14-bed medical unit in (Undiri) Kikuyu, that provides hospice and palliative care to patients approaching the end of life. The Hospice will provide warm, compassionate, highly skilled care, enhancing the patient’s quality of life throughout the course of their illness by providing pain relief and offering emotional, spiritual, psychological, and practical support for the patient and the patient’s family. The result will be a comforting, supportive experience for individuals and families during a very challenging time.

The Need

Currently, there are only three hospice centers in the entire country. Many cancer patients in Kenya must travel as far as 600km to access treatment. There are an estimated 28,000 new cases of cancer in Kenya each year, but only 3,800 patients receive treatment. As such, there is a great need for compassionate and competent hospice and palliative care.
